The MNkids were like Pavlov's dogs last night,

every time the CNN "PROJECTION!" sound effect came on.

They both fell asleep about 9:30, but when the "projection" sound came on, SophieMN sat bolt upright and shouted in a half-asleep stupor "I'm back! What?"

NoelMN did the same thing when the west coast polls closed. The "projection" sound played and he pulled a pillow off his head, sat up, and said, "Is there another one to color?!"

2. We had SO much fun!

The map went over really well, and was an excellent tool to help them understand electoral votes, red and blue states, swing states, etc.
My mom called at one point, and NoelMN gave her such an accurate and thorough overview of what was going on; I was incredibly impressed with how much he really understood it.

3. BabyMidlo was doing the same thing!!! She was ecstatic.

This morning, on the way to school, she said "Mom, I have to rub in the faces of about 50 people and I can't wait".

She's dealt with comments that Barack is a Muslim, (although she always says 'so what if he is?'), that he's a terrorist, blah, blah, blah.

She is elated. So are the other two, but she's over the moon.

Yesterday MrLaraMN told me that one of his office coworkers was decrying how "crazy" his wife has been over the election, for the last week.
He responded by saying "A week?! Lara's been like that for the last YEAR!"

After the last two elections, he's learned to just stay out of my way.
