Now that Florida is a blue state again, I expect all your apologies forthwith.
That means no more voting jokes, no more banana republic jokes, no statements about "Give Florida over to Cuba", no statements about how we wish the state gets washed away into the sea, etc.

The Sunshine State awaits your apologies. Thank you.

1. The southern half of your state is beautiful...
if they scuttled the top half and the panhandle it'd make a very nice island of liberals who we would never have to worry about voting GOP ever again.

11. Yes but...
Florida has palmetto bugs and mosquitoes the size of Cadillacs. Connecticut has legalized gay marriage and great skiing.

47. He was only born here...
it was the state of TX that gave him that oversized ego. Everything's bigger in TX indeed. This is the basis of the nature vs. nurture argument. All we did was create a being with the potential to be Dubya...it took TX to bring that potential to fruition.

We never would have elected him governor in any case...that's Texas' fault.

30. Other than the presidential election, it was a pretty grim night here in South Florida.
All three Republican representatives in Miami Dade County held onto their seats. Amendment 2 passed, even getting the majority of votes here in Broward County, the most Democratic county in the state. The Republican even won the Broward County Sheriff race, and no state legislature or state senate seats changed party.\

that happened in a place other than Florida, I will consciously refrain from posting something like: "The location's screwed up - they misspelled Florida!" or "OK, FL - the ball's in your court!"

I think that's sufficient reward for your achievement this week...
