The highlight of my day!
So I had to go have a follow up mammogram today (fiasco, don't ask). But while I was at the medical clinic, I passed a lady wearing an Obama shirt as I followed the nurse down the hall.

Feeling gleeful, I paused and said, "Girl, I need to give you a fist bump."

We giggled excitedly and did the deed, while the nurse chuckled. There was no black and no white, we were both just REALLY HAPPY American ladies getting psyched up about the future.

That was cool. :D

1. HI friend! It is a great day isn't it? Even if we didn't ditch Cornyn down here
which made me sad.

2. I know.
I'm so bummed for you guys. We did so well in 2006. Dammit!

I have to confess that I got to the polls up here at 6:30 (they opened at 7, and I wanted to get here early).

I was there for almost an hour and a half. Finally got done at quarter to 8. And I'm homesick as hell, but BOY did it feel good to get some blue state results back!

Keep the faith, sweetie!
:hi:

3. always, always. I voted late in the afternoon, all the lines were in the morning
too funny. I knew when we had no line in the evening that we weren't pulling in enough to carry Rick.

Our incumbent Dem Legislator was defeated too. That prospect made me stay home from the big downtown party.

I popped a bottle of Spanish Sparkling wine though and had a nice glass when Obama went over the top though:toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:
