Just got my pension statement. Lost $35,000 since last statement.
Which is better than I expected. And I won't need it for years. Still...Yikes!!

1. I hear ya - sadly, I had a few hundreds of shares of Lehman in my portfolio...
That didn't help me much, let me tell ya.

But, like you, I don't need my funds for many years, so I'm not too worried about it. The market will go back up. I am bummed, though, that the Lehman stock won't - that money is definitely just plain lost forever.

Sad.

And very sad for all the current pensioners who ARE trying to struggle by living in dividends and interest whose principal has taken a giant hit.
