Announcing the launch of Democratic Underground's "Project Y".
Goals: Go door-to-door collecting all the guns, forcing heterosexual singles into gay marriages, palling around with terrorists, putting Karl Marx on the $20 bill, banning the 4th of July and changing the National Anthem to "Don't Stop Believing."

Individual assignments will be distributed by PM, but feel free to announce progress on your assignments by public post in the Lounge.

That is all...

Oh, and one more thing: Shhhhhhhhhhhhh!

1. Banning the 4th of July? You bastard!
You'd better have a replacement day off of work lined up pronto, or there's gonna be trouble.

2. Simple solution...
We don't ban the 4th of July..we simply change the name to Karl Marx day since we are all commie worshippers....:P

5. I'd prefer a celebration of a great American...
like Eugene Debs or Upton Sinclair or Thurgood Marshall or W.E.B. DuBois or Jack, Ted and Bobby Kennedy.

Imagine the Freeper headspin.

10. I have never met a freep...
who didn't think everybody on that list was un-American. Remember, they're stupid...if we pick someone who they have to look up they won't ever know that they're un-American.

Alternately, we could pick someone with a really foreign-sounding name...like Omar Bradley or Enrico Fermi.

8. How about a day for each of them, comrade?
we're all going to become shiftless welfare queens now, so why not as many holidays as possible? It's not like we'll be putting in an honest day's work anyhow.

You'll need an entire staff just to do the scheduling of trucks and busses to round up and transport people to the re-education camps.

20. Republicans are stocking up on guns!
God help those poor republicans. They have been SHOT down and now they are applying for gun applications. I'm serious, I have a woman that works for me that told me that her and her Annie Oklie Friends are going to Wartmart to apply for gun applications and she said...."I'm gonna protect my house" which incidentally is in the woods of New Hampshire. Like some terrorist is going to go find her house in the middle of the woods. I told her that her and her tribal friends were paranoid and need to get a hold of themselves. I said, instead of having that reaction, why don't you guys think of some GOOD you can do with yourselves instead, by trying to make a peaceful world. Oh I feel this is a hard road ahead, trying to get these boneheads out of their own asses.

21. Instead of July 4th, May 1st!
If we put Marx on the $20, let's put the Great Helmsman on the $5, and Fidel Castro on the $1!.

Oh, and can we please get access to the secret files on the JFK asassination, spo we can finally verify that J. Edgar Hoover ordered it?

Thanks - it would mean a lot.

31. Two points:
1. They probably have already read it here.

2. They have been in a tizzy for quite some time.

But I'm sure they appreciate the kind thought, the motherfuckers.
