Yet another near miss with The Man
Well, it's not really over with yet. I'm awaiting a call.

What happened was that some dumbass put handcuffs on something of mine, and I couldn't get them off.

So.. I was headed home and saw a couple cop cars in a parking lot with dudes hanging around chatting. Being the non-confrontational guy I am, I pull up to the cars. One car drives off as I pull up. I asked a cop if all handcuff keys are universal and if so could he remove the cuffs. I showed him where and he remomed them.

I reached my hand out. You know, like expecting him to hand me the cuffs as I thanked him. He gets all "what's your name" "where do you live" (like he didnt know lol) "where'd you get these" "what was his name" etc...

I said, why?

He repeats.

Why do you want my name? says I

He addresses officer in car, "has anyone lost any handcuffs?"

I said a neighbor kid named "boy" put them there.

"boy who?

I dunno. Why?

Well, have "boy" come see ME if he wants em back.

What Ever. Geesh this seems like a lot of trouble to get you to remove these. You know my name is Yada Yada I guess I'll do that.

...I drive off about 100 feet then go in reverse back to him...

WHO are you, I say.

Yada Yada he says...

End of story.

Well.. almost. I called the Sherriff's Dept a sec ago asking for a reciept. Hell, if they aren't the cops, I want them back. They had dude call me and re-discuss this.

A-freaking-noying. If I remembered the guy was gonna be a dick I wouldn't have taken the leap of faith.

3. You lead a very interesting
and weird life, dude.

What's with the handcuffs, what were they locked onto and why, who put them there?

I'm sure there is waaaaaaay more to this story that you are telling.

You are just a hillbilly hooligan anyway. All the law knows it.

:P

4. That's part of the point hehe
They knew me and tried to get all cop-like.

I will follow up on the whereabouts of the cuffs on Monday. I mean, what if I found a hundred dollar bill and asked him who's it was?

I told the cop who took them on phone if they weren't his or another officer's that I need to know asap so I can get them back. I guess I have to talk with the sherriff on Monday if I don't hear from the guy.

I was really just playing with him on the phone because he started that stuff saying I said stuff I didn't. Cops around here are only allowed to do that in front of a judge. :P

:silly:
