Is anyone else just simply EXHAUSTED?

Since election night, I have been so damn tired. Exhausted. Can't hardly focus, just want to sleep. I honestly think it is all the stress and tension and anger and fear of the last 8 years leaving my body. There's still a ton of things to fix/address/worry about, but now - as during the 90s - I don't feel like the inmates are running the asylum, you know? That we might be able to actually slow (if not halt) environmental destruction, get health care, address world and local poverty issues, etc. And that I don't personally have to feel like I have to fix it all. (I knew I couldn't, but still didn't stop me from worrying).

It has dawned on me over the last few days that I feel like I can actually get a good night's sleep now, without worrying too much about the fate of the wolves, whales, children, elderly, etc. Damn, it feels good.

Anyone else feel drained (in a good way)?

2. No, between the World Series victory and the Election victory I'm too drunk too feel anything.
Two weeks of straight partying. Loving it.

3. slept til 9 this morning after crashing on the couch around 10 last night
slept there until about 4 then hit the bed. Kitties piled in and we snoozed intermittently to NPR until 9. I have not slept that late since the last time I was sick.

Relief could be in there. Had not thought about it that way.

4. You have a point, there
Hadn't factored in relief to my fatigue! I've felt really run down and like I can't ever get enough sleep for the past week or so, yes. I put it down to MG Jr. being sick, giving me lots of nights with interrupted sleep, plus of course I contracted his illnesses myself (typical), but tending my kid has never left me feeling this wiped out.

The one thing I did notice is that I actually LIKE listening to the news now! The sense of dread is gone. NICE! :)

5. Always
And for someone who does next to nothing, it's weird.
