Poll question: Computer Processors: your choice?
I need a new laptop, for basic internet surfing, with occasional games. No big music or movie downloads or anything like that. Which would you pick?

1. Either should serve you well. As long as it's not an Intel Celeron.

2. I have been using intel pentium since the beginning
back in 1995.They have always worked well for me so I never changed. The intel celery does suck though.

12. doesn't matter for budget processing
I'm an AMD guy, but the last computer I built is admittedly an Intel system. I'd built a similar rig at work two weeks before my AMD system went kaput, and liked the results so much I copied it for home.

13. I've used Intel and AMD over the years
and while I don't have the newest of either, so far I've found that AMD tends to work pretty well for me. And it's usually cheaper.

14. I used to buy AMD but the quad core Intel chip made me change.
At the time I bought my latest chip the AMD phenom wasn't measuring up to the Intel chip.

15. My desktop has an AMD chip; it's just fine for general computing.
Intel makes a fine product as well.

Basically, it's hard to go wrong with either, unless you are going to be doing some serious stuff.
