Anyone else lie awake at night listening to "BBC World?" Their programming
is wonderful - not timid like our NPR. I love it but I, usually, miss so much because I drift off to sleep.

I try to find some of the specific segments the next day on their website but it seems so confusing as you have to recall the name of the individual program and I can never (yawn..) remember it.

2. I listen regularly, and thoroughly enjoy it...
their interviews are much more pointed in their questioning, and their presenters tend to be much more aggressive.

Plus, that gal with the breathless voice... :woohoo:

3. I love BBC overnight.
My local NPR gives me BBC starting around 10 p.m. It repeats through the night, so the first time through I can listen to the stories, while the second and third times through it provides a sensual background noise for sleep. Very relaxing, I find, both when paying attention and when not.

Plus, you get the awesome Britishisms, like "inverted comma" (quotation mark) and "fruit machine" (slot machine).

5. Yup. It's repeated several times a night here, so I often...
end up listening to the whole thing in pieces.

And, yeah, just like NPR, you have to really dig to find that little piece you half heard.
