7. They'd be right beside it, barking at the bear
The only difference is, they'd never abandon their posts. I just love this time of the year, when the squirrels are packing away their nuts for winter. Buddy will start barking at them around 5:30 in the morning, and won't shut up until I get dressed and go outside and haul his ass inside. Seriously, he'll sit out there for hours at the base of the tree, or pacing around it. Then they taunt him by leaping to the nearby tree, and back again.

5. I remember watching a show about how cats survive falls
and that "flying squirrel" pose apparantly is one of the ways they can do it...

Now I'm going to have nightmares of my cat doing a flying squirrel jump off my bookcase and landing on my head while I'm sleeping
