Chef was not happy
Someone had left the door open to the walk-in refrigerator, freeing all the veggies and fruit

His waiters were no help, thanks to the popularity of cell-phones

Working with his crew was a challenge on a daily basis

He had to lay down the law or things would get worse

His circumstances led to a diabolical plan

Once his schedule was in order he rounded up all the usual suspects and ran with it

First, everyone had to sign his deal
Next, all happy employees were adorned with floppy-pastry-chef-hats Chef then picked up a pie off the nearby dessert tray and took out the first of many

When the dust (and custard-cream) settled, his ever-happy wife reminded him that he had been the last one into the walk-in refrigerator the night before when checking on his supplies, though it was more like a late-night snack Chef was not happy about this, especially at being beyond the point of saving face

All worked out in the end, however. Chef remained overlord of his crew his wife continued to keep a watchful eye over the restaurant (and her husband) and the crew became even closer

And, with their freedom never questioned, the veggies and fruit found alien llama-like creatures far more fun that providing sustenance to other sentient beings
