10. He's a British prima donna chef that has the reality shows
Hell's Kitchen and Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. Although people "may" learn from him, his asshole "style" does more to turn reasonable people off from his knowledge base than he realizes. Now, if it was comedy, ala Chef!, then it would be worth watching :)

There was a great story in The Houston Press locally some years back about life as a chef (Chefs Rule!) The cooking schools never point out the nastiness that takes place on a daily basis in kitchens...

15. I swallow me ego and pay very, very close attention to what he has to say

and what he's going to do, because I've run the restaurant so shittily that Gordon Ramsey needs to show up to rescue, I better goddamn well listen to him, because he not only know what the hell he's doing, he knows more than I do.

I love Kitchen Nightmare, and love watching him turn places around - he really does know what he's doing, and has very much a passion for food, AND for helping people to be better!

I've said this to others, and I mean it - he really is doing a kind of chaplaincy with the people he helps out. He's harsh, and sometimes a dick, but always does so with the intention and under the assumption that the people he's helping ARE CAPABLE of pulling their restaurant together, that they WILL pull their restaurant together and WILL make it work. I like that about him.

21. I love the British ones... The show seemed more low key and it didn't have that
irritating narration.
