1. I run the gamut from bass to tenor 2 range. |
|
No (*&%ing way can I hit the high tenor notes without going into a really bad falsetto though.
I also play a bunch of instruments, so I can help accompany too.

although I can sing second soprano too if people need me too. :-)
I was in choir all the way through school up until the end of grade 10....my school choir sucks, which is unfortunate, because I really do love to sing.

4. I think I'm contralto--not sure, as I've never taken the time to find out |
|
from someone who "knows."
I'm not a very talented singer, though. I am mediocre at best. Still, I do chorus work well enough. :)

Helps that I'm a halfway decent sightreader too. :)

Leave it to me to get stuck in the niche hardly anybody writes for.
For popular modern music, I generally have better luck with pieces written for men. For choral pieces, I can generally muddle through with the alto part, though I've wound up supplementing a thin tenor section more than once.

7. Me too, but our contributions have always been way underrated. |
|
Remember that the wonderful Karen Carpenter (no shame, I LOVE her voice) was one of us!
