1. Nope. But I made 15 pair of earrings and a necklace today
So, except for some shot glasses for the men, I shouldn't have to shop at all this year.

13. That's nice. I wish I was more creative.
I think I'll be doing a lot of baking. But I picked up two awesome, mint Fitz & Floyd Christmas platters for $1 each at the resale shop. Filled with treats, I think they'll make nice gifts.

6. Why are you embarrassed?
I started lastJanuary by buying a Christmas decoration for a someone who displays a ton of stuff.

I like picking up good bargains and setting them aside. I got my sister really nice earrings and a necklace for her 50th birthday for 80% off. I wouldn't have been able to afford such a nice gift without scoring such a great deal.

The trick is remembering that you bought something and where you put it.

An HD radio with an iPod dock/charger, and some CDs.

I'll probably start my shopping before Thanksgiving, though. Am a Christmas person and start early.

I've got birthdays to worry about, first. As for Christmas, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

19. I started the other day
By and large, I'm going to give books and CDs. It's easy to find bargains, wrapping and shipping are easy, and it narrows the search process to the point that it becomes fun; hunting down the exact right book is easier than waiting for The Perfect Gift, Whatever That Is to show up.

24. Nope
My Father always sends me a check a couple of days before Christmas. Then I take that check and buy Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephew. One season I didn't get a check until Christmas eve!! That really stressed me out.

29. Does your dad know you do that?
It's very nice of you to spend it on your nieces and nephew, but perhaps you should splurge on yourself a bit.

I don't really count it as a Christmas gift, though. She just loves these things.

28. I just bought Little MB's "big gift"
XBOX 360.

Since I don't have a Mr MB to buy for anymore, that allowed me to splurge on my little girl :D

The rest of her gifts will be little things for less than $10 a pop.

30. I bought my cards
Only because Barnes and Noble had a buy-two-get-one-free sale; usually I would not buy cards until after Thanksgiving. I don't like pushing the season too much.

Plus my girls change their minds daily.

32. A little.. I usually pick up items here and there throughout the year as I find them
and try not to bust the budget all at once. We don't go real overboard anyway, so that's good. I'm lucky in that my girls find just being home, hanging out, baking/cooking/making a MAJOR mess/playing marathon games of Scrabble/watching movies really makes the holiday for them...they're not terribly materialistic!

Got everybody covered except the people I give perishables to and Mr. Gut, because he has everything. He needs to go with me anyway, I think I am going to get him a new raincoat.

34. No, I'm paying off some delinquent debt.
But my recorder ensemble started rehearsing exclusively Christmas and Hanukkah music two weeks ago, and it will continue through the end of the calendar year. Reportedly some radio stations have already made a complete switch to holiday music. This is what annoys me more than the shopping ads - holiday ads and snowflake decorations in late Oct./early Nov. is bad enough, but when the radio and my musical ensemble goes entirely to holiday music for two full months I start to become outwardly disgusted. Whatever happened to enjoying late fall as late fall?
