3. Was I wrong to tell the shelf stocker at Walmart to turn down the rap music?

I was in a Walmart with my kids last night, around 3 AM, and the stockers had their boom boxes up really loud, playing some rap music. I'd had enough, so I told him to turn that sexist, racist noise down so my kids didn't have to hear it. The kid--I'm not racist, but that doesn't mean I have to like everyone--had one of those handkerchiefs on his head, and a white muscle shirt, and he got really beligerent, and while I don't normally get scared, I could tell he was going beat me up, and no telling what he would do to my kids. So I pulled out my cell phone and called 9-11. I know, I could have called the manager, but he was probably going to be on this punk's side, and I was scared, alright? Not because he was black, but because of the way he grinned when he said "Sorry, sir, I dasn't knows you here. I turn it down." (that's not really how he talked, but that's what I heard).

So when the cops got there I told them he had threatened to kill me and rape my kids, because cops won't listen unless you make it all dramatic and stuff, and they tasered the guy and carried him off screaming and drooling.

Was I wrong to be shopping at Walmart that late? I mean, do these kinds of things happen often at that time?
