Group work RULES! I wish I could render myself unconscious at will.
I am reviewing a piece of our P.R. campaign for a group assignment that comprises half my grade this semester. We each took one component of the campaign and produced written material outlining our information for the plan. The campaign is designed to increase donations to our local food shelves. Thanks to the girl responsible for the "executive summary outline", I have these gems:

"Purpose: Food is an essential part of human survival so it seems effortless in the reasoning for trying to provide food to all people in our community."

"Strategy: readily available interactive donating."

Numerous citations for "rationals". Not "rationale", but "rational".

"Strategy: implementing awareness."

"Tactic: Pamphlets that would be placed at churches, by any activity we host such as the grocery store and local stores."

"Rational: Info to go! Personable!"

"Tactic: Flyers handed out in classes, and the any event that we host."

"Much of the donations could be little such as 'loose change'."

GAHHHHH!

 :banghead:

It is against the rules to call out a fellow DUer (LynneSin).

2. "I wish I could render myself unconscious at will."
I've often thought that, but for an entirely different reason- insomnia. I sometimes wish I had a swirtch in my head that I could just mentally flip and I'd go right to sleep.

Oh, regarding your post. Yeah, I went to college for 2.5 years and I have no idea how some of the people there made it further than me. I guess you really don't have to be all that smart to make it through college. What you do need to be, I don't know. I dropped out.

and they work hard and have good ideas, but I don't know if that write-up was typed hastily or what. It's really, really bad.

3. Lee Mercer is in your study group?

Purpose: Food is an essential part of human survival so it seems effortless in the reasoning for trying to provide food to all people in our Eye-spy Community-Military Intelligence (All Three)

5. Oh man, if I could work Lee Mercer, Jr. in somehow,
it would be AWESOME.

It's a bad idea, but it would be AWESOME.

6. Oh, I can top that
In college I took a required Communications class that focused on group presentations. 1/3 of our grade was our group presentation, and we had to share the presentation duties.

One of the 3 people in our group refused to do any work at all. What little she did was of similar quality to your Executive Summary girl, and when she spoke she made Sarah Palin sound like William F. Buckley.

And the guy in the group showed up stoned out of his gourd for the final presenation - needless to say, his 1/3 was absolutely incoherent.

And needless to say I was screwn.

My friend has similar horror stories from taking MSW classes at Temple Univ - many of which were group projects.

Group projects at work = reality
Group projects at college = ridiculous

9. No need - the teacher noticed his impairment
and told me she was trying to cut me a break for having been saddled with an idiot AND a stoner.

7. I knew a guy in high school who apprenticed over at a vet's office.
He had swiped some chloroform and definitely praised the ability to render himself unconscious at will.
