Haircuts from Hell.
Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 11:51 AM by Bertha Venation
I wear my hair short. But god dammit, not THIS short. No more Hair Cuttery for me. I'm going back to spending $45 at the spa.

When I give you explicit instructions, which include "just take an inch off all around, the style is fine," then what you're supposed to do is take an inch off all around. Not LEAVE an inch or less all around.

Then, completely dissatisfied with the fact that the cut cut away all my highlights and my hair now looked black (I was born blonde ), I colored it. I chose a medium blonde. I got strawberry blond. WTF?

/rant

Tell me about your haircut from hell.

1. My last haircut
I went to Regis and ended up with a recent Ogle graduate. So I spent $40 for a $5 haircut. I told the girl I am tenderheaded and she proceeded to pull my hair several times and once her nail scraped my ear so hard I thought it was bleeding. It wasn't.

I wanted to get small bangs again, but I did not trust her to do it right. Bad bangs take forever to grow out. I just got a 1 inch trim. That has turned out fine.

Why do hairdressers not know how to treat tenderheaded people?

6. Damn, I shouldn't complain.
I've never bled or nearly bled from a haircut...

2. I tried to budget by going to one of those name brand cut rate (no pun intended) places
What's so hard about "make it as short as possible but still able to wear it combed back?"

It took two disasters before I realized that the lady who does mine is worth what she charges. I try to go a little less often, but she has my business for good!

7. I'm thinking the same thing.
Mrs. V. won't go to my favorite pro, Marissa, anymore because she's so expensive. I guess I'm more vain. I told her "I can't stand it, I'm going back to Marissa," and she said nothing. Oops...

3. The upside is, you have a beautiful complexion that's perfect for strawberry blonde.

Don't get me started on haircut/coloring nightmares. I'm a natural redhead. I have more than enough of these horror stories for both of us. (Picture me with pitch black hair. That was my life for six months when I was 19. As it grew out, I looked like I was wearing an orange yarmulke. :weep: )

:loveya:

9. i cut my own hair
with grooming sheers, set it half an inch (or No. 2) and just go to town. Doing the back of your head is hard, but you get used to it, plus people will always notify you if you miss a spot. :)

Oh, and the sheers cost $30 and that's like two haircuts for a guy.

11. because my hair pulls gold?
I am a :dunce: - what does that mean?

My MIL said that it's because I didn't leave it on long enough, but I left it on 30 minutes, that's what the destructions said . . .

12. My last haircut - 1972
It was a shag - I hated it, I hated growing it out and I will never cut my hair again.

I've had trims of course, but my hair is down to my waist and that is the length it will stay until I die.

15. Not as much work as blow drying and or setting it would be
It's natural curly so short cuts were such a pain for me. I looked like Little Orphan Annie whenever it grew 1/2". Now if I don't like the way it looks down, I just braid it or clip it.
