My dad is a conservative Republican and I love him

He is very political and I grew up with a family that discussed complex political issues. Today he sent me an email, mostly family stuff but at the end, he wrote this -

"I'm sure you are happy about the election. As you know, I supported McCain. But Obama won so he is my president now, and I wish him well."

It may sound a little flat typed out but if you knew my dad, you'd know he really means it. Because my dad is a patriot and loyal to the democratic process. We rarely agree about issues but we can always debate them without it becoming personal. He taught me a lot.
