Dammit, I just got laid off...

The gas station I work at is closing, tomorrow may be the last day, we are selling off the last of the gas now. I was off work today, and I will work tomorrow, but beyond that, I'm unemployed.

Frankly, I don't know how I should feel about this, I may have another job already lined up, nothing concrete yet, but I'm hoping that I won't be unemployed for long. Still, this situation sucks, what I wouldn't give for a little bit of job security.

what a shitty time of year for that to happen :hug: Hopefully something will come up soon. I have to tell you, I'm so scared of the same thing that I have 2 jobs and I figure I will for the rest of my life.

For future reference for you, the 2010 census is hiring. You can look on the internet and see the jog info for where you live. It's part time and only temporary but the hourly pay is almost $20.

but I haven't been laid off since! because I haven't had a job that mattered enough to *have* layoffs.
