saw the Obama motorcade today!

we were in DC and we saw the motorcade, I suppose on it's way to see Bush. Our tour driver saw Obama going into the White House.


It was a cool time for a school field trip for the kids and better than seeing the Cheney motorcade a number of years back...




we also went to the Holocaust Museum. Beautifully done, and very sad and moving.

2. we just happened to be there today - I haven't been to DC in years, even

though we live only 3-4 hours away. I guess I just had less incentive since Bush has been Pres.

It was very exciting! And kind of cool for the kids (middle schoolers) to see as well.

3. I'm just glad he's still part of a motorcade

and can't wait for him to be flying around in Air Force One, and Marine One, and not landing on an aircraft carrier for a publicity stunt!

4. it's funny, I read that the Secret Service code name for him was Renegade

and then it was 44....



Of course we didn't know what vehicle they were in - maybe there will be a Spykids type super car or speedboat. ;)
