1. It's called God Bless The USA, and I share your disdain.

Back in the early-mid 90s when I was working at a country radio station, I got requests for that song every day. Every day.

I hated it then, and I hate it now. Actually, I hate it MORE now, since the right-wing has decided that they and they alone are the real "patriots" in this country. Blechh.

from the first gulf war one evening with my wife. as the troops came in, they played that song on a continous basis. gawd i hate that song.
