We were bullshitting in the lobby at kaiser while my grandmother got labs drawn.Some 60-something gentleman with his vietnam vet hat came up to talk to my grandfather with his ww2 vet hat on and thanked him for his service! I felt like crying!
A side note so I don't have to start another thread...on the way home from kaiser my grandfather said that in his lifetime..Obama getting elected is the best thing that ever happened to this country.

he's not capable of leaving the house under his own power, but he filled out an absentee ballot for Obama a couple weeks ago. :)
