You'll do fine. My DIL had it done last year and after the first 24 hours or so she felt so much better. Actually, the ride home was the hardest part for her. That and her first look in the mirror.

She's very happy with the results.

clothes that fit well.

I worked with a girl once with boobs probably a little more that twice that size. She had a reduction and LOVED it. I know you will be fine--good luck!

I an not sure yet if I am ever going to reproduce, so I'm waiting...

But at 36DDD, I can assure you that yes, clothing is difficult to get. For bras, I usually go to Figleaves's website -- they may be a bit expensive but at least I can find bras that are comfortable AND pretty there!

when you heal, you will start to feel sooooo much better. Your lower back will start to heal and you'll be able to stand up easier. Believe it or not, it actually helps your balance, A LOT.

Hope you have a speedy and painless recovery. I was ok for the most part after mine. The worst part was when they removed those blue rubber string things. I thought I was going to die when they pulled those out, but the pain didn't last as long as I felt like it was going to last. So, even that wasn't so bad. Get LOTS OF REST. :hug:

It's a day in which you can say goodbye to a good deal of your backaches, shoulderaches, and sartorial sizing problems and start to say hello to a wider assortment of bras and the ability to actually run, or hang upside-down and still be able to see, among other things. It'll be a day that just adds to what I trust is a continually evolving and engaging journey along your pathway through life; destination unknown but pectoral comfort assured.

Were you able to get your insurance to cover it as medically necessary?

I've talked to my doctor a few times about it since I have such awful back problems, and he said he didn't think it'd be too difficult for me to get it covered under insurance whenever I decided to do it. I've been putting it off waiting to decide if I'm ever going to have kids or not, though.
