The XM and Sirius radio merger is happening right now: the stations are changing

Some new stations and many channel number changes.

This is mildly annoying; just after I practically memorized the station numbers.

1. AFAIK it's affecting the XM side.

XM channels are being Siriusified. Some are gone. XM gets Radio 1 to replace U-Pop (good move IMO). Fortunately XM still gets the BBC World Service General version rather than the Rolling News version that Sirius has.

2. Both my Sirius radios have updated

I noticed the Big 80's has been replaced with XM 80's on 8 - I hope that means Martha Quinn has been pulled back down into hell.

This must be affecting Comcast cable as well, as my C-Span channel is broadcasting the Disney network
