And to answer your question on another thread, My family is good except for JC, who is having asthma-like problems. But he is seeing a doctor and hopefully he will get better soon.

19. I DO live in Europe!
well.... England - it's sort of like Europe. The last two years, I spent loads of time in France, because I had a girlfriend who lived there. Now she doesn't live in France, and she's not my girlfriend - two horrible blows to my life.

sorry about the gf thing.

I have to admit it was my first time to Paris. And I am 33 years old. You see, I am not one of the fastest either.

Where in England do you live?

38. I've only been to Paris once too
It's nice, as I remember. I'd like to go again, but haven't had the time or money to make that happen.

I live in West Yorkshire, which is a place... not much to say about it. Northern, cold, wet.

18. J'adore Paris!
Edited on Wed Nov-12-08 09:19 AM by AllieB
I was there with my Mom for 2 weeks in June. I've been a bunch of times, but she had never been. She would go back in a heartbeat.

I ate my weight in pastries when I was there. Oh, how I miss the chocolate almond croissants!

On edit, do you recognize my avatar? It's the Paris Metro bunny.

36. Episode 40
Next week on "The Golden Age of Ballooning" we examine the work of Girlsher and Coxwell, the English balloonists who ascended to a height of seven miles in 1862 without washing. There is also a book called "The Golden Age of Ballooning" published by the BBC to coincide with the series. It's in an attractive hand-tooled binding, is priced £5 and failure to buy it will make you liable to a £50 fine or three months' imprisonment. There's also a record of someone reading the book of "The Golden Age of Ballooning," a crochet-work bedspread with the words "The Golden Age of Ballooning" on it, available from the BBC, price £18 or five months' imprisonment, and there are matching toilet-seat covers and courtesy mats with illustrations of many of the balloons mentioned. Also available is a life-size model frog which croaks the words "The Golden Age of Ballooning" and an attractive Bakelite case for storing motorway construction plans in, made in the shape of a balloon.

And now, another chance to see a repeat of this morning's re-run of last night's second showing of episode two of the award-winning series "The Golden Age of Ballooning."

And then...

39. That 3rd photo....
Is that the building where some events during the French Revolution took place? Like the king said he supported the rights of men agenda?

Did you see the place where the famous painting "The Luncheon Party" took place? I read a recent novel about that painting and it most excellent! I had a print of that painting and cut out a picture of Bob Marley and pasted him at the table so it looked like he was a part of the group. People who would visit me would be astonished of course.

Neat photos, thanks for sharing.
