Lisa's World: Just heard from the mechanic. My car's engine is TOAST. |
|
I guess I'll be walking to those job interviews. :grr: On a positive note, my realtor is going to pick me up in seven minutes to look at two houses. Whee! I can't believe I have no fucking car, I just can't believe it. Meh. I also can't believe we're selling the house so I guess it all evens out.
Happy Hump Day!

Cute pic. :) Next to me are sitting two of my kittens. One is about two months older and she has the little one pinned down with two paws while she cleans its fuzzy little face. She's being a good mother! It's cute as hell. :hi:

Or did he just say it is toast?
Did he say how it came to be toast? I am curious to understand the physical processes that would cause the iron and aluminum and plastic to become toast. Also, did he mention whether or not it was wheat, whole grain, or maybe plain old white toast? Additionally, did the oil become butter, and was the toast at least fresh?

Virgin Mary or Jesus toast. Figures.
Actually he did tell me. The thing was leaking coolant - I knew that, and apparently the leak suddenly became a problem. My daughter went for her drive with no antifreeze and the car overheated badly. She actually called to tell me that there was smoke or steam coming out of the back of the car when she was driving home. My brilliant advice? Keep on driving, baby!
The mechanic is a good friend of the boyfriend's, so I know he isn't screwing me. He never even charges me for these sorts of diagnoses. It's an old car! but it was the only car I had.

that engine is gone most likely.
never a good idea to keep driving in that situation.
A rebuilt engine may not be that expensive though.
