Today, Cara Luft's The Light Fantastic. One of the my best purchases this year.
Also gave David Archuleta's CD another chance, but still think the same of it. I'm not a fan of professional music reviewers, but the fans complaining would complain to me, too: I'd give it 2.5/4. Better than some of the reviews.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcey21fNw20I was thinking about my baby girl, away for her first year of college. I wrote some of the words to this song in her high school year book because she was thinking about majoring in theater.

32. Beethoven. Quintet for Piano, Oboe, Clarinet, Horn and Bassoon in E-flat Major, Op. 16. |
|
Good stuff. The main theme of the Rondo was lifted almost note for note from one of Mozart's piano concertos. Bad composers borrow; good composers steal... B-)

War of the Worlds
Set to music with Sir Richard Burton narrating. I've had this in every form they ever made it -- LP, 8-track, cassette. I finally have it on CD again. Yay.
