16. I'm sorry to hear that. I also have had friends who've not had health insurance...

even though they could have been eligible to benefit from their partners' benefits if they had been permitted to marry. I have friends who suffered and died of AIDS years ago, who could have had more comfort in their final years if they had been able to share their partners' health insurance.

I truly am sorry that your friend suffered and died because of our country's unfair health care system.

And I'm also sorry that you don't see the correlation between waiting for that to improve for all Americans and waiting for our civil rights to be equal.
