Do you remember 120 Minutes?

It originally aired from 1986 to 2000 Sundays at midnight and was where many became turned on to "alternative music".

Now it comes on VH1 CLASSIC (I'm not old damnit) every once in a while. I Tivo it at my girlfriend's house and we watch and laugh at the terrible hair styles.

But Black Francis is still making new tunes and touring, although he seems to prefer touring Europe. If you're a Pixies fan, you should check out his last two releases, "Bluefinger" and "Svn Fngrs."

4. Oh god yes, I remember.

And for a couple of years, VH1 Classic was running it at midnight on Sundays. Now they've pushed it to 2 a.m. when they run it at all, just like MTV did back in the day. :grr:

8. Does anyone remember the 120 Minutes tour?

It was a joyous event: Public Image Limited and Big Audio Dynamite. Great concert. Blind Melon opened up and were quickly booed off stage.
