Chaplin has started hanging out on the front porch...

It's chilly and rainy today, so I put his dish of food on the porch today instead of in the side yard. I also set a towel down, and put an old litterbox lid on top of it, so he'd have a little shelter and warmth. Not only did he use it to nap in, but he came close to the door and sniffed at my finger behind the glass.

He still shied away when I opened the door, though. He's not quite ready for physical contact. He stayed at the opposite end of the porch when I let Wolfy out a little earlier, which is pretty amazingly accepting of him, I think. :D

He started creeping up on the porch and one night when he was really cold he started yowling his head off and scratching at the door. He came in and never left.

2. He got a little freaked when my student came tonight, but

was back in his little shelter by the end of the lesson. Zelda wants to go out to meet him; but I've got to get her fixed and get him in for a checkup and shots first.

3. And now he's gone again...

I hope he isn't hunting birds.
