2. I'm going tomorrow, with a friend. |

I've been avoiding reviews, though a couple couldn't be escaped. Fortunately there were no spoilers of consequence and what they say is still based on their perception, not unequivocal, incontrovertible fact.
That and I'd forgotten them anyway, which is so much the better...

4. Oh no, we had enough of those dumb Brosnan flicks in the 1990s... |

I thought they were pretty good, although they fit the model of the older movies rather than this new direction they are going now with Craig.

the new format - from all the Craig movies I've seen so far - is comparable to the feel of Ian Fleming's original novels. Dark, uncertain, suave, gritty, with some humor. I hope they keep it up and not camp it up.

Heard it wasn't very good. Of course that did not stop me from seeing Moonraker.

So stoked, I'm willing to pay full price to go with a group of friends to what in all likelihood will be a typical SRO opening-night showing, which is my least favorite way to see a movie (You ever go on a Sunday morning? Matinee prices+near-empty theater=the only way to fly).
Where was I? Oh yes. 007. If this movie feels even half as fresh as Casino Royale did, it's going to be a treat.

Casino Royale was so bad ass... it was like a complete revival of the Bond franchise. More than makes up for the last two pieces of shit (TWINE and Die Another Day).
