It took me a year.

There is more than what is shown in the picture...a lot more.

I worked on this while in the throes of major depression, and did it all by hand.

It kind of helped me get through things.

3. Yeah, I can understand it helping with depression

or anything where you want to get your mind off things. You could probably say that for anything that gets you working with your hands. I would likely garden, given the opportunity to grow directly in the ground again. That always brought me great joy, too :)
