Goddammit. More car break-ins in the parking lot. |

I pulled into my apartment building's parking lot, and as I parked, I noticed sparkly stuff on the pavement next to another car. Broken glass. From a smashed window.
Great. Some drunk/crackhead/tweaker prowling the parking lot stealing stereos. Fuck.
Well, I just finished talking to the local PD - I'm not even sure who's vehicle got broken into this time, but my roommate had his stereo stolen a few weeks ago - this place seems to be a popular target.
Hopefully, my car won't be on the top of the list - I made sure to clean it out, put the stereo's faceplate away and make sure the car's alarm was turned on and it's little LED was blinking. I also parked it further away from the scene of the crime and in a place that I could observe from my balcony - I'm having fantasies of taking my shotgun and going Charles Whitman on the next tweaker that thinks smashing windows and stealing car stereos is a good idea. It's too bad that's illegal...
This place does seem sketchy sometimes.

1. Well, I still don't know who's vehicle it was that was broken into. |

There's not a heck of a lot I can do. Doesn't make me feel secure leaving my car in the same lot. :(
