The Critters Flu/Pneumonia Crisis, Day Five: I just feel like crap. |
|
That's pretty much it. I just feel crappy--tired, no appetite, sick of being in the house, feeling like I'm just surrounded by my own germs at this point, still sore throat and chills. Crappy. I've just sent an e-mail to the organizer of the meeting in Des Moines, with the report I would've given if I could go. Got an e-mail back from his wife saying he and the participants who have arrived so far are at the marriage equality demonstration at the capitol. Dammit!! I would love to be there.
But I know the doc was right. I'd be exahusted after minutes at a demonstration.
I'm gonna make some soup.
And then go to bed.

2. Don't mess around with pneumonia |
|
Voice of experience here. The first time I had it, I felt lousy but still thought I'd be okay taking care of the kids, slowly doing things around the house, etc. Within a week, I was in the hospital on oxygen and I was there for a full week.
After that, I got pneumonia twice a year for close to ten years - until I moved to California from New England as a matter of fact - because my lungs were so weakened by that first bout.
Take care of yourself, follow your doctor's orders and get better soon.
(Oh, and Beagle kisses are very good for any kind of illness)
