1. 22. I was surprised and horrified for about 30 seconds. Then I accepted it.
My dad went bald early, so it wasn't like I couldn't see it coming...

2. Late 40's.
61 now, and my hairline is receding.
Down the back of my neck.
Usually either shave it or keep it really short, but I have been too lazy to do that, so it's maybe an inch or so long.

Old, bald and gray mark

8. It's okay...
It's slowed down or stopped falling out and I've still got plenty. It's a spot...a hat will cover it and I'm 6'4" so you can't really see it that well.

5. A friend of mine's prom date was well on the way to balding by his junior year of high school.
He was still a really handsome guy, and because of the hair issue he was able to buy beer without getting carded as soon as he could drive himself to the liquor store, so it kinda worked out in his favor.

9. ah yes...
I too passed for older in HS. Now I can't get anybody to believe me that I'm 28...people think I'm younger. Go figure.

11. Same here, except that I'm 27.
Apparently my apparent age has hovered at 20ish since puberty. :eyes:

13. Hey, that's a good thing.
It's doubtful you will always look 20 (although you do still to this day) but I think you will always look younger than your years.

16. Same with my dad
He came back from his freshman year of college and his friends asked what the hell happened to his hair.

7. Age 7
As I looked at my relative's pictures and realized that I too would look like them.

My son, age 21, is starting to see the receeding hairline at the temples.

Mine started at that age.

But that's okay; that is just the way we look, not the way we feel!

12. At the front or the back?
My hairline has now receded to the point where there is a spot of hair at the front where it has thinned around. But there is no thinning yet at the back.

17. Has yet to happen
Not even a receding hairline. In fact I didn't have it cut from 2001-03, it grew way below my shoulders. I'd always had a short haircut, wanted to see if I could still do it and what it looked like. I was in my 40s, I looked like a relic from the grunge era...

18. I never had a bald spot.: the hair at the back was last to go.
My hairline started to recede at age 12, but it took a very long time.

I come from a long line of domes. My dad was bald in his mid-20s.

19. Birth ...

I've had what looks like a bald spot on the back of my head since I was born ... cow lick I think.

My hair started thinning in my late 20s though.
