Categorize music artists you love using your own descriptions

You don't have to use strict genre labels. It will be interesting to see what DUers come up with. I'll use more traditional genre labels. My list is just a sample and not a complete list.

6. "Classical" is a strange term.
I know what people mean when they say it, and I use the word in the same sense myself: music played by old-fashioned instruments (anything more traditional than a saxophone) usually written 100 years ago or more.

But I think it can also refer to a specific period; as opposed to (say) the romantic period, or the baroque period. Not all of your quoted composers may qualify as classical: I do not know what the timeline is, though I daresay a google search could provide me with the answer.
