Poll question: Do you have a soul mate?
Edited on Sun Nov-16-08 10:16 AM by undisclosedlocation
This is for stewartcolbert08, who was debating the question whether such a thing can exist with a co-worker, here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x8244239.

2. Met my lovely wife online 11 years ago.....
and it just keeps getting better and better. Seriously. She was in Tallahassee and I was on Vancouver Island...we took a huge risk.
She had 2 kids from previous relationship, me none.
Yep...she is the yin to my yang, or whatever. We think the same things at the same time. We have the same ideas....it's really cool!
Don't know what I'd do without here, and I don't want to find out!

3. My Skippy is my soul mate.
We have been together for 9 years now. We are the other half of the other. We compliment each other rather nicely, and half the time I think something, and he says it and vice versa.
We've been married for three years, but every day just keeps getting better.

4. More than one.
Edited on Sun Nov-16-08 12:08 PM by Heidi
Some of us have known one another more than 30 years. We are male, female, older, younger, in the middle, gay, straight, bi, undefined, white, black, Latina/o, Asian, NA, self-defined. Hard to explain. Ya know it when ya feel it.

5. i think it's possible to have more than one soul mate
i would say i've found soul mates in my best female friends, as well as in my guy.

i don't think it's all about sex or romantic love, but the connection you feel with the person and how well you go together.

9. I have a couple...
My husband, my high school sweetheart, with whom I reunited after 37 years apart, and my best old hippie girlfriend from 1968-1975, who I lost track of for 30 years. When we met up in San Francisco in 2005, it seemed like the years just melted away.

Separation by time and distance can't destroy these kinds of bonds.

11. I thought I did
And fate took an abrupt left turn, so I decided that the concept was basically CRAP.

I'm a hopeless romantic, but not completely silly.

14. I thought so but I was mistaken.
Maybe some people do but I no longer think it is possible for me.

16. Yes, maybe
Not sure what you mean by soul mate...but after 26 years I remain deeply in love with my wife. We're affectionate and romantic, attentive and nurturing.
