Update on Toeby (the new kitty)
Slowly but surely we've been introducing Toeby to the family. Cider and Star seem to be adjusting but....

Dot doesn't seem to eager to be near the new arrival. Whenever Toeby gets anywhere near Dot hisses at him and runs the other way.

He doesn't attack Toeby, just runs away. I'm hoping this means that he's not hating on him.

The other day Cider was grooming him. It was going well till Cider walked into the bathroom where Toeby has been hiding under the cabinet. Cider got near Toeby's food and Toeby wasn't really pleased at the idea of sharing. It was rather comical. Not LOLCat material, but still made me laugh.

Please tell me Dot and Toeby will eventually at least grudgingly get along. I'd like Toeby to be able to stay out of the bathroom at night but don't want issues when I'm not awake to referee.

1. I had to give extra love to our grown cats when we got the new kitten
I think as long as you love on your Dot a little extra, she will come around.

our new Dora is only the 2nd young kitten I've ever had. She is about 5-6 months now, and we found her at 3 months.
I've had Billi since she was 7 weeks. She'll be 4 in April.
Miss Kitty is about 12 or so. We don't know exactly.

when we got her a few months ago, the other two were not thrilled, but took a couple of days to get used to each other

I made sure that we gave Miss Kitty and Billi LOTS of attention and told them "you are my favorite Siamese and you are my favorite black and white kitties" type stuff.
Made them feel assured that we were not forgetting them. They were jealous. Dora is a tiny yet rambunctious thing, but the other two get along with her fine now.
But the old lady (who is the sweetest cat ever) doesn't really want to play, though.
Miss Kitty would hide because she didn't want to PLAY, but she is ok to hang out out and they don't have a problem with eating together or sharing the bed.
Dora bugs miss Kitty to play too much, but Dora will grow out of that eventually. Sometimes we have to shoo Dora from the cat box while the others are doing their business.
I think she is trying to play, but that is not the time. So we've been telling her no or sometimes having to resort to the water bottle. She's getting better, and I think she will grow out of it. Miss Kitty is not too happy about that, but she's a sweet thing and doesn't hold a grudge.
Billi is younger and has been playing with Dora. They are buds now.

3. OK!

And why his original name was Big Foot...(and he's a very small cat, despite how the pictures look...)
