It's orange outside, everything smells (and tastes) like burned plastic, and my car is coated w/ash.

1. My dear Shakespeare...
Yup...

It's the same here, except for my car.

It's in the garage, for the moment...

The smell is what gets me...:P

2. I really do hope it goes away soon. Stay inside with the windows shut
in the meantime. If you have air purifiers, (I have a few because I have allergies....they are great) run them.

3. This is the closest we get to snow.
I can handle the ash. I can handle the smell. What weirds me out is the red tones of light. They're oppressive, and a little creepy.

6. The red tones of light are most definitely creepy.
And, I forgot to add, the stifling heat (in the middle of freaking November) makes it especially hellish.

4. Please stay safe
Here in the Midwest we don't have a lot of wildfires, but it sounds awful. So I'm glad you're all right.

7. Thanks--I live in Hollywood, so I'm almost never in danger from the fires.
We had a close call with the Griffith Park fire last year (that one WAS close to me), but it's usually the folks south of LA or in the valleys north of here who really go through hell during fire season.

9. My eyes are burning, my lungs are on fire.
Yup, wildfire season again.

I am happy that we are far enough away from the Triangle Complex Fire but it is really messing up our sky and air.
