Good game on right now
After trailing by a 7-2 score the Pittsburgh Pirates have waged 2 scoring rallies to take a 8-7 lead over the visiting San Diego Padres.

1. 8?
TD plus a two point conversion or two FGs and a safety? Or four safeties? :)

3. Safety + 2 FG's
The object of the game is to score more points than your opponent whether it be touchdown, field goal or safety. The team that scores the most points usually wins the game.

5. If your QB chunks the ball to a receiver, and that receiver doesn't catch
it, you're now short a down, and the other team still has a chance for an interception unless you go for a field goal on 2nd down, but most teams that go for field goals on 2nd down lose the game, and as a franchise you don't want that. That's what made Jimmy Johnson so great!

7. The goal of any franchise is to be successful.
Now to be successful a franchise generally has to have more wins than losses as well as playoff appearances. Now one of the ways to reach the playoffs is to win your division. Usually, the team with the best record wins the division.

6. Got the irony

Or whatever it was supposed to be. Steelers are trailing the Chargers at this writing 10-8. The Pirates aren't good enough to beat the Padres. Or maybe they are since Peavy is leaving.
On edit-The Pittsburg guy just made a Field goal or hit a three run homer and the team from Steel City has the lead 11-10.

9. Wow! First ever 11-10 score in NFL history.
I'm glad the Pirates didn't ruin that at the end of the game.

:woohoo:
