I have to lighten up! Tell me some cute kitty and puppy stories!
I have one about my pup, and I know it probably sounds really silly.

I love to watch him eat his dog food. Yeah, I know that sounds kinda crazy and silly, but hear me out.

When I see him savor every morsel, and so attentively and deliberate, it makes me feel really comforted and happy. I love the notion that he feels so content and comfortable and that he takes for granted he has a good home forever, will never go hungry, and will always be treated well. (If not spoiled rotten!)

What's kinda funny about it is that if he catches me watching, he stops in mid chewing and looks at me with a dumb and puzzled look on his face like "What?" Whaaat??? What you lookin' at????

I just love my pup. :)

1. we took our border collie to the vet yesterday
turns out that he's got a touch of arthritis in his hind legs and hips.

but the good news is, the medicine they gave us is working already. like magic.

he was up and around the last two days better than he has in weeks.

he was such a happy puppy today.

he's on the bed right now with my husband. i'm about ready to go to bed, so I'll have to shoo him off.
he'll give me this look like..maaaaaaan, this is my spot. oh, alright, i'll get down. *sigh* umph!

he's so cute

3. LOL! That's HIS spot! Dammit!
Last week I lost my spot when I got up to go to the biffy. When I came back he was all sprawled out crosswise in the bed, and gave me a look like, "Sorry, you moved, you lose."

I convinced him that we had to share, and he had to move his ass over. He put up with that for about two minutes, and grumbled off to find another spot next to the bed. The nerve!! LOL!

2. I maybe have a funny one ....
I went out to my Dad's to play with his Saint Bernard puppy. Well, I have a broken foot with a cast up to my knee. Ellie cocked her head to the side trying to figure out what the heck was with the hopping and big sticks I was carrying ...... then she grabbed my ankle in her mouth and WOULD NOT let go ....... was growling and shaking it like she wanted to rip it off. Meanwhile, I'm laughing too hard to be able to stop her. Finally ..... Dad comes out of the house and gets her off, so she snags one of my crutches and runs away with it as fast as she can. I really wish I'd have had my camera with me!

5. LOL! She probably thought she was saving you!
Dog's are so fuckin' funny. I am certain they are brain damaged, LOL!

(No offense to brain damage, I mean in the spirit of the Cosby skit on brain damage, in a funny and lovable sense)

6. LOL She might have, I never thought of that.
What a gorgeous kitty! And what an odd way to lay. :o

I love all these stories. Animals are just too funny without even trying. They put us to shame, animals and babies ....

10. Indeed animals and babies do put us to shame.
It's the totally innocent that can teach the greatest and most valuable lessons in life. Truly.

7. Oh, that is so cute. She obviously feels very safe and comfortable to be so vulnerable like that.
She looks a lot like my male "problem child" kitty.

He is such an ornery little shit. Won't let anyone touch him but me, and sleeps on my butt, if not my head every night. Ornery little rat.

8. Awww........ your problem child kitty sound so loyal.
I never knew that about cats until I had to move into town. We had about 30 barn cats ..... people just kept dropping them off at the road and we wouldn't even know until we'd find them days later, to me ..... cats were just to play with and catch mice. Now that I have a rescue kitty, I think they're just as loyal as dogs ....... but twice as snotty ....... It's been fun learning from him. Your kitty must feel so safe laying on you. Mine used to sleep on my stomach but he got so darn heavy - he weighs 20 pounds now. I'd wake up wondering why I couldn't breathe.

9. He is very loyal to ME. But he is so neurotic, insecure, and cantankerous with any little change.
I could never part with him, because I know he would never be able to adjust and it would kill him.

Wanna hear something funny? When my ex lived here, and caused all kinds of tension, he'd go piss on our bed. On HER side of the bed, and even her pillow!

I don't think she ever figured that out, but I knew EXACTLY what he was doing!

BTW, since I sent her packing, he's never pissed on the bed or anywhere else since. :D
