1. I'm doing well. How are you?

It's about 3:20 in the morning where I'm at. I've been up all night and I'll be up until about noon. Then I'll get some sleep and head into work at about 9pm.

I've got a new Stories From the Road thread up on the front page of the lounge if you are interested.

It's been a while since I've seen you on here. Where have you been hiding out?

4. Yes I do have a route

But it runs from 10pm to 7am and my work week starts at 10pm on Monday nights. So I'm just hanging out right now and keeping to my sleep schedule which is very important to us truckers.

I am doing fine too - for a Monday. Came back yesterday evening from a short trip to Berlin. Was visiting my brother. That was my last vacation for this year. Next vacation is begin of January when I will move.

I have to be on the road for the next 3 days, getting up at 4 or 5 AM each day.

I still remember the time I was visitng the Okefenokee Swamp. Not that I was hiking there but it was a great experience to see the swamp.

I was in Berlin over a long weekend. It was nice as always. Even though I didn't do much this time. Visited family and did stuff with my brother.

19. I was down in the "Green Swamp" here in Florida

It's a huge wildlife management area in central Florida out in the middle of nowhere with an even more secluded campsite. On Saturday part of the group and I hiked over 12 miles. On Friday night we got to see the space shuttle launch real clear. Even with the bright moon it was easier to see without all the ambient lights from the city like we have here.

33. Friday and Saturday were still very warm but...

...when I woke up Sunday morning in my tent it was freezing. I wanted to get up early for the three hour ride home but when I felt how cold it was I zipped up my nice warm sleeping bag all the way and slept two more hours until the sun was out and it got a little warmer.

of days in DC. All work and no play, but my trip was a success, so all's good.

How exciting though - your move. You're going to love having you own place.

I just adore my new place, even though I've been in it for about 8 months now. Threw a couple of logs in the fireplace yesterday afternoon, and read. Very relaxing.

22. I can't wait to move

I want to be in my new place already!!!

I sorted out some clothes already I won't take with me. But that was only the beginning, not done yet. I am going to let a company do my move. That way no one in my family has to break his back to carry my stuff.

I was in our capital this weekend too. But for pleasure ... no business.

You have to come to Germany and visit me in my new place :D

to visit you! I haven't been in Germany in a very long time. Don't think that a trip like that will happen soon though.

60. Well, here's the deal...

Youngest daughter's boyfriend always has this HUGE Thanksgiving dinner for about 25-30 relatives. We are invited to come over for dessert. Last year I made a pecan pie, and a pumpkin pie (I think?) Will definitely make the pecan pie again that was to die for -- I will have to check with M. and see how many pumpkin pies are being brought over. Maybe I will make another kind of pie? :D

I just love baking so, to me it is no chore.
