71. I LOVE the Mission: Impossible theme...it was just so exciting!
And it meant daddy was letting me stay up late to watch it with him :-) 'Cos Mom was at the golf club for Ladies' Night *lol*

4. The Mr Ed song.
A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed.

Go right to the source and ask the horse
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Mister Ed.

People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day
But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?

Well listen to this: "I'm Mister Ed."

55. Which one? The Avengers has had more than one theme music.
ABC changed the theme music at least once...

Please don't get me started here, because I'm extremely nostalgic over 1960's-1980's UK ITV output and the companies and what they stood for. ABC (later on as part of Thames), ATV (later on as Central) and LWT put out some damn fine programming in their time. If the guys responsible for ABC and if Lew Grade could be resurrected and put in charge of TV in the USA, people would definitely be watching, because there would be stuff on that people will definitely want to watch.

Mark.

I always like the fake TV cops better than real ones. I like Streets of San Francisco, but theme song isn't so great. But yes, Adam-12 is one of my favorite shows. Gotta request Channel 20 (SF) to play that on Retro Night.

I used it as the opening theme music when I did I late-late-night radio show way back when :D

And that begets the equally fun The Venture Brothers theme:

but considering the show it was the theme for, it was
just absolutely brilliant.

Edited on Mon Nov-17-08 09:16 PM by harmonicon
Seriously. The theme song for Benson is awesome.

I would also say that the song for Cheers was fantastic.... the Three's Company one is probably not good, but gets stuck in my head.... the song for Night Court was nice and catchy - I can still remember it at least.

Oh! and you forgot the obvious: Mission Impossible - one of the best.

edited to add:

This shouldn't need mentioning, because they're more like religion than theme song: Doctor Who, and Star Trek. Both are beyond being theme songs.... they are the foundations of my life.

Wonder Woman!
Wonder Woman!

All the world is waiting for you
and the power you possess
In your satin tights
fighting for your rights
And the old red white and blue

Wonder Woman!
Wonder Woman!

Now the world is ready for you
and the wonders you can do
Make a hawk a dove
stop a war with love
Make a liar tell the truth

Wonder Woman!
Get us out from under, Wonder Woman

All our hopes are pinned upon you
and the magic that you do
Stop a bullet cold
make the axis fold
change their minds and change the world

Wonder Woman!
Wonder Woman!

You're a wonder, Wonder Woman!
