2. As a woman, I've never really cared for them
I've dated several guys with facial hair but prefer the clean-shaven look. Some guys look better than others but for the most part I prefer men without.

And the way it's trimmed.

Sam Elliot in The Big Lebowski - yes. Phil Brown before he shaved his off - hell no.

5. Glad you asked this! I've been thinking about growing a goatee, but I'm nervous
and keep shaving it before it gets going.

6. I have usually let it all grow over the winter, but it seems
uncomfortable this year - don't really know why, but the thrill is gone.

9. I wish I'd read this earlier.
A friend of mine said he hasn't grown a beard because of the itchiness... but I'd really like to see him with one. He said he was thinking about it now though... I'll have to try to remember to ask him tomorrow.

13. What I'm thinking about is the Leonardo DiCaprio
"Departed", "Blood Diamond" sort of thing. It's, um, some people think it's ridiculous looking but others say it's passable.

7. Well, if he's planning any...erm...uhhh...
"southern" activities, then I'd prefer not. Those bristles hurt in delicate area--same with beards. So much so that, when I've been with guys, that sort of thing was off-limits to the ones who wanted to keep their facial hair, lol.

Other than that, I really don't care one way or another.

:)

11. Lol, that's true. I used to have to worry about that when I was married.
Not only that, but even heavy kissing, right? Her chin and neck would turn bright red.

But luckily I'm a loner these days. I can do what I want with my facial hair.

8. .
Don't care for mustaches just by themselves -- they look either dated (think 70s) to me, or skeevy (think pencil-thin mustache). I prefer them with a beard.

And while we're on the subject of beards (even though you didn't ask) -- ONLY if they're neatly trimmed. I also prefer goatees to full beards.

Also, beards must ALWAYS be accompanied by a mustache. No beards alone -- looks Amish to me. (I grew up around Amish.)

Oh, and skeeviest of all? A soul patch. Ugh.

22. Thanks for typing out almost exactly what I would have said, except for the
last line. Springsteen's soul patch does not bother me. Still, I prefer him without it. Funny, he has never asked me for my opinion on it, so I appreciate this chance to express it.

10. It really depends on the guy.
my Dad grew one because without he looked like he was about 18. I saw a guy on a cal trans crew this morning that had the funniest looking porn stash i think i've ever seen. it was the porn stash mutten chops combo and he looked like he was maybe 35.

15. My dear old mark!
I love moustaches! My husband has one in a beard/moustache combo, and it looks and feels great!

I think it adds character to the face...

And I've never had a problem with it being rough or bristly...

I think on some guys it certainly adds character... and I never did have a problem with the way it feels either.

I guess I'd have to say YES to moustaches.... if they're kept trimmed and neat. :)

18. If a man wants to grow facial hair, it's his own damn business
unless he has a job where it would be a health or safety hazard. Sames goes for any other body hair on either gender.

23. Nope. Don't like 'em by themselves.
With a goatee or beard, it's one thing. But a single ol' caterpillar crawling above the lip evokes an image of cops and 70s porn stars.

25. After fourteen years, it would be very difficult for me to shave off
my Frank Zappa-style mustache and goatee. I prefer having this little bit of facial hair. Full beard, no. Too itchy and more of a pain to care for that it's worth.

30. Noooooooooooooooooooooooo
I'm afraid that I think that a moustache by itself is pure nastiness

As part of a goatee, depends on the man in question but only rarely do I like them

With a full beard, as above but even rarer than goatee.

31. Depends on the man.
Harleydad looks great with one. Much better than without.

It's a bit like women's hair length. Some women look fab in short hair and others look better with long hair. It's about the whole package.

Some guys can pull them off, some just look silly as hell. I feel the same about all facial hair, though I've noticed I have a tendency to prefer guys with facial hair over guys without.
