take some to the Boundary Waters...no point bringing in liquid, with all that water around...although we would bring a pint each of some kind of liquor in a reusable container (usually one of rum and one of schnapps).

Katadyn makes exceptional water filters. I was looking at the filters they make after reading the thread on NASA recycling urine, and found "Trekking-Mahlzeiten" (Mahlzeiten means "mealtimes" in German; trekking you can figure out) freeze-dried foods, including the wine.
