The Hillary hostage taker meets candidate who faked disappearance
Hillarity ensues:

DOVER, N.H. -- Two notorious New Hampshire inmates in Dover shared a bizarre confrontation, officials said.

Gary Dodds and Leeland Eisenberg were involved in a jailhouse altercation, prison officials said. Dodds is the former congressional candidate convicted of faking his own disappearance and Eisenberg is the man who held volunteers hostage in Sen. Hillary Clinton's Rochester campaign office during the primary election for president.

Eisenberg called WMUR News 9 on Saturday saying Dodds hit him in the face but investigators said it's too early to say who committed the assault.

"We seem to have found most of the people we need to speak with," Strafford County Attorney Tom Velardi said. "To my understanding, there's one more witness that needs to be interviewed."

Eisenberg told WMUR News 9 that the confrontation started with a "silly conversation" about who appoints certain county officials.

"He was asking me questions about the structure of county government," Eisenberg told WMUR News 9. "I gave him the answers. He didn't like the answers. He started taunting me and teasing me."

Eisenberg said both he and Dodds know of each other's high-profile cases.

"He was teasing me about having road flares on my chest, and I said, 'You've got a lot of room to talk, somebody who faked his own disappearance,'" Eisenberg said. "He didn't like what I had to say. He walked up to me and struck me in the face."

Investigators said this case is not being handled any differently because of the inmates involved.

"This call is just the same as any other call that comes in under these circumstances and has been treated just the same way," Velardi said.

Eisenberg said Dodds assumed a martial arts stance and that Dodds hit him with an open hand. Eisenberg claimed to have multiple witnesses, but investigators have not confirmed his account.
