vampires and other scary stuff are the only things I don't read or watch. I am way too scared too easily.

Boss is normally reasonable but that is one topic I have to fight a bit more often I am afraid. But there is no other choice for the program, he will come by sooner or later. Thing is, he has no idea about the program. Oh well, bosses ....

5. book is almost 500 pages--my daughter read it a couple years ago

so it was in the bookcase (how convenient)

and it's not scary--it's for kids 9th grade and up

500 pages is enough.

At the moment I read "The Emigrants" by Vilhelm Moberg. 4 volumes, at the moment volume 3. It is very well written and it is capturing me. It is about Swedish settlers in Minnesota in the 19th century. It tells you about why they left Sweden and how their first years are in the States. About all the problems and struggles. If you are interested in that topic it is worth the read.

read the books. It is worth it.

I never saw the movie though. When we were in Sweden this summer we went to a emigration museum in Växjö. There was it that I found the books. Unfortunately they are avaiable only in English. Not that I mind but my mom wanted to read it too and her English isn't that good.

Well I've been a doing store calls for a company that represents high end shampoos and hair products (that has dwindled to one day a week after I busted my ass this summer setting up 8 foot displays in drugstores). Today I start working for Blockbuster Video Stores.
And ... http://journals.democraticunderground.com/Joan_Alpern/379 this one will take a bit of time to build up the business plus I expect it to be a seasonal job that will keep me real busy in the warmer months.

I don't think Jon will be going back to work ... unless it's working for me.
However, he makes a great house husband.

You should submit - keep an eye out next year. I have a feeling it will be an earlier submission process (like during the summer), because I'm starting grad classes in the spring, and I think I'm going to be ridiculously busy during the traditional semester seasons (working full-time and taking classes).

Not gonna vacuum it, no. I WAS going to mow over the leaves in the driveway, though, so we could at least see where the driveway is. But not today.

I want to vacuum up all the little lady bugs that came in and thought they'd be warm in the house but died instead. They're not REAL ladybugs. They're some kind of bug they brought into the country as a predator and ended up being a nuisance. (Someone didn't think ahead.) :shrug:
