There's only about an inch of snow outside, but it's cold and the roads are covered with ice. Our DOT always takes forever to get the backwoods country roads treated enough to make them safe for buses. Because it's freezing outside, the wind is supposed to be blowing at 10-15 mph today (making it even colder,) the kidlet's winter coat has a hole in it, and we can't seem to find his #*$&%^* gloves...guess who isn't going to classes today so she can stay home with OktoberKid? *sigh*
I hate winter. I can haz spring now, kthnxbai.

2. The fireplace I can't do, unfortunately, but the hot chocolate? |
|
Oh yeah! :9
I suppose our little space heater can be substitute for a fireplace. :hi:
On a side note--how do kids manage to tear a hole in a thick, fluffy winter coat? Right under the left arm. I have no idea how he managed that.

Sounds like he got stuck somewhere and we got off it ripped ... another question ... how did it go unnoticed through the last winter? :hi:

4. It didn't. It wasn't like that just a few days ago. |
|
The hole is a fairly recent occurrence, it seems. Man, that kid is seriously hard on clothes, lol.

Which is probably the most fun age, to be honest. Old enough to understand things, old enough to have a real conversation with, but still young enough to need Mommy-hugs on a regular basis. :)

... but you're only up in WV with snow?
If you're having snow now I think we in central NC are definitely going to have snowdays between now and March.
Mark.

8. A special recipe just for your and OktoberKid... |
|
Scrounge up whatever you have to make a pot of chili or soup.
Cuddle up on the couch with some hot chocolate and watch some good movies.
Possibly, at some point in the day, build a "blanket over the chairs" indoor fort and pretend you are braving the coldest winter storm EVAH.
;)
