2. In for Eh..
It's a Lite FM staple. I wouldn't turn the station, but it's pleasant background noize I suppose.

4. Terrible!
I think they blew it when they became a ballad band. The early stuff was where it was at.......... :)

5. Good for what it was (a depressing break up ballad) but definitely a bad sign of Chicago's future...
....and their eventual full time conversion to top 40 cheese factory which became official following the tragic death of Terry Kath.

I prefer Chicago when they sounded like this.....

6. C.
I like it. In fact I like it a lot. The lyrics are beautiful in their simplicity. But it's kinda vanilla, ya know?

As far as ballads go, for my money it's (I've Been) Searching So Long. Way more interesting song. Although they kinda lose me at the end when they get all triumphant and shit.

Honorable mention goes to Wishing You Were Here. Goddam spooky love song, huh.

11. Oh, great, my PTSD is back.
As a survivor of the '70s, there are some things I just don't want to experience again.

I liked a lot of Chicago/Peter Cetera. "Only Love Knows Why" was a favorite in college and I actually remember listening to one of Cetera's albums and thinking, I'm not going to want to hear this in years to come. The music appealed very much to my young, romantic heart and as I predicted, it sounds a bit sad and sour now.
edited for mysterious pluralization of "Chicago"

14. I give it a B+ because it's both beautiful and simple.
But, I fully agree with those upthread who stated that this was only a taste of what was to come in terms of the band becoming a cheesy hit machine.

Also, I personally can't take too much of this lite ballad music in one sitting. I'm more into proggy, heavy stuff.

16. One of the wussiest songs ever.
Weak, weak, weak. As penance for making people even think about this song you must listen to an hour of Motorhead.

Go to it!
