I conceded to the weather

I finally lit the furnace.

It was a hec of a campaign. The Lady came at me from several directions. Blackberry brandy was an effective tool while it lasted. The victor played a little dirty, the last few days, by not getting above 25 degrees. She won by freezing my pipes.

I would still be in the contest if I would have thought to catch some water. The coffee was truly needed after a night of beer, brandy, and wine.

I plan to run again in 2009. :)

How is the weather where you are, and are you cozy warm at the moment?

1. 40 this morning

supposed to get to near 80 this afternoon. It's still motorcycle weather, in late November. Yippee!:bounce:

2. Cold as hell.

Probably around 40 right now. Got down into the mid twenties last night. Had to dig out the thick winter jacket today. Can't remember the last time I did that before Thanksgiving...

I've been dressing like a homeless person just to spite the weather here... layers and layers and layers of shirts. It'll take me a few days to gather up all my clothes. I "peel and toss" in the car, at work, in other people's homes, on the porch, in the yard, etc.
